Getting around
Krems an der Donau is easily accessible by public transport via Vienna on the Franz-Josefs-Bahn or via St. Pölten, also by train. From Vienna Airport, it is best to take the train to St. Pölten and then change to a train to Krems. From Salzburg and Linz, you can also take the train via St. Pölten to Krems.
There is also a shuttle service from several airports to Krems. It is a 1.2 km walk from the station to the holiday flat, which takes 14 minutes according to Google Maps. If you are carrying heavy luggage, we recommend taking a taxi to Wachtbergstraße 32.
This journey is 2.3 km and takes 7 minutes in normal traffic conditions. As the holiday apartments are situated around 100 m above Krems, the journey involves climbing a small hill, which is no problem for e-bikes.
By car, drive to Steinertor, up the Stadtgraben, then left towards Schießstätte, turn left again after just 100 metres into Wachtbergstraße and continue for 450 metres to number 32, which is on the right-hand side of the street and bordered by a large natural stone wall.
Neighborhood
Wachtbergstraße is a quiet road. There is generally a ban on through traffic, except for residents, and a speed limit of 30 km/h. Just 100 metres further on, you’ll find yourself right in the vineyards.

Parking is free of charge along the concrete wall in front of house number 34 and on the public roads further up. The white parking lines are broken (!), so you do not need to park entirely within the lines.
You are welcome to park your bicycles on our private property and, if necessary, lock them to the railing.
